Andrew Stevenson - Director, Education Leadership

Last Tuesday, the Senior Executive had the pleasure of accompanying Mr Stevenson on an observational learning walk around our school. Mr Stevenson was able to observe what writing looked like in 1P. The students explained what a ‘bump it up wall’ was and how to use it as well as self reflected upon their writing. This was then followed by a discussion with staff about their targeted teaching strategies in writing and the evidence and impact of student success and growth across this area. Many thanks to Mrs Peisley and 1P for welcoming Mr Stevenson into their classroom and to Mrs Mitchell, Miss Waugh, Miss Murphy and Mr Tasker for explaining their targeted teaching strategies which have been used to improve student writing outcomes across their classes, which has been supported by our Instructional Leadership Program. We were so very proud of our wonderful staff and students!
