NSW schools offer special religious education and special education in ethics. Approved providers deliver these, where available.

At Cromer Public School, SRE and SEE is delivered weekly on Wednesday mornings for K-2 students at 10:20am and Wednesday afternoons at 1:30pm for Years 5 & 6 and 2:10pm for Years 3 & 4 students.  On enrolment parents/carers will be given the SRE and SEE participation letter to complete and return.

After the initial enrolment, notification of changes to a child's enrolment in SRE/SEE should be given to their class teacher, in writing. Special education in ethics is an option for primary-age children if you withdraw them from special religious education.

The following SRE/SEE classes are offered at Cromer Public School:

Protestant SRE lessons are provided by C3 Church. More information about Protestant SRE, including the authorised curriculum scope and sequence, please visit the C3 church website https://myc3church.net/

Catholic SRE (Scripture) lessons include activities that are fun, engaging and inclusive for students, whilst also providing students with the opportunity to critically explore their faith and beliefs, and to pray and reflect.   Students look at real life scenarios and explore how Jesus would deal with life situations.  Lessons are age-appropriate and taught with sensitivity.  Lessons consider morals and ethics and are brought to life through age-appropriate bible stories, digital resources, song, dance, craft, drama, puzzles, mime, drawing, and many other teaching strategies.  Children are provided with a colourful student activity book containing learning resources which complements the teaching material. Catholic SRE teachers (also known as Catechists) are authorised by the local parish and trained by the Catholic Diocese of Broken Bay.  The Catholic SRE curriculum has been designed by religious education experts and authorised by the Bishop of the Diocese. For more information about the Catholic SRE curriculum Walking with Jesus Pathways of Discipleship visit: https://www.bbcatholic.org.au/parish-community/ministries/ccd/curriculum

Special Education in Ethics SEE lessons are provided by Primary Ethics.  For more information about SEE, including the authorised curriculum scope and sequence, please visit the Primary Ethics website. https://primaryethics.com.au

During the time that SRE/SEE classes are being held, students not attending will be located in a separate space and are encouraged to read a book and are supervised by a Cromer PS staff member.
